Learning ! ! !

The following paragraph from the post below titled "Interested" needs to be changed. We are indeed learning!

(old paragraph) "As I understand it, interested people should send me their name, address and email address. I am supposed to be able to add you to the team quickly. Then you get an email and you're on, a contributer to this Learning Moments blog."

NEW ... REPLACEMENT PARAGRAPH -

People who may be interested will receive an invitation by email. You indicate your interest, then we add your name to the contributing participants of Learning Moment, and you will recieve confirmation.

So sorry for any confusion.

Commitment?

Please note when you decide to post something here at LM you don't have to be too commited.

1. Before you post, you can preview what you've written as it would appear.
2. You can go back and edit as much as you like. (hit "hide preview")
3. You can then "Publish Post" and "Re-publish blog" and see what it looks like now by hitting the "View Blog" button.
4. If you think it was a bad idea, you can close the screen, the edit screen will be there and you can either edit again your message as often as you like, (I have tried it) or simply delete it and it's gone with no trace. other postings will remain.
5. You can go back at a later date and delete anything you posted.
6. The only ones to read LM will be people we tell about it. No one can post on it except by invitation.

Interested?

If you are a writer type and one of us knows you are interested in creating a culture of peace, you can become a "team member" developer, owner of this blog. All I know about blogging i've learned in the last few days.

Starting point: read a little about blogs, basics. Google blog, talk to a twenty-something, get the book, BLOGGING, by Biz Stone, whatever. This whole first step can take about five minutes. Remember you learn as you go. I found out you can start your own blog very easily. Great for writers!

Learning Moment (LM), is a "team" blog. If you know, Leslie or Robin or Jim or someone in the Writer's Group you can be on the team list. Ask.

This team operates with the same spirit as the Writer's group that meets at the Washington D.C. Community Center. Positive, supportive, thoughtful. Otherwise there is no "editing" done by the team. We post writing and comment on others postings and you get feedback on your efforts and you are then published in at least one place. Pretty cool!

LM, is open to anyone who discovers it to read only. There are millions of blogs and we don't advertise, so the chances of someone find this particular blog are pretty slim. Team members are free to post their own stuff directly from where they have internet access and you can let anyone else in on reading it, like you are right now.

This is an addition to the Writer's Group, it is not a replacement for the human relationships and reading out loud, found at the meetings!

People who may be interested will receive an invitation by email. You indicate your interest, then we add your name to the contributing participants of Learning Moment, and you will recieve confirmation.

Learn by Doing

Still learning after all these years ... we learn best by doing.
I start a blog.
